Static

This means stationary or fixed. Graphics can be static - there is no animation. Many web sites are also static HTML pages. This means that you can only view information on the site; this includes hyperlinks to other areas of that site or other sites, but nothing else. As a visitor, you cannot submit any information to a static page and you can only receive information that has already been formatted on the page (example: you cannot conduct a search to find information on the web page; you cannot submit information on a form on that web page).
