RSS

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. This is a system that lets users subscribe to their favorite websites. A program called a feed reader or aggregator can check the list of feeds (or subscriptions) for a user and display any updated articles found.

Site owners, by using RSS, can put their content into a standardised format, and have it viewed by subscribers through RSS-aware software.
