Frames
Frames break a web page into different sections. For example, you may come to a site that has a scroll bar on the left that is visible on each page you go to. Some browsers do not support frames and cannot read them. Sometimes, you will see if you do a search on Google - "this pages uses frames but your browser does not support them". When you click on the web page, you can still see the page.
If you use frames and you want to avoid such a message on the search engines, be sure to use a "no frames tag". This is very simple to do in Front Page. If you use frames, in Front Page, click on the tab at the bottom of the screen that says "no frames". If you haven't done this before, you will see that it says "this page uses frames but your browser does not support them". You need to change the text to a description of your page here.
The HTML for a no frames tag is:
<no frames>description here</no frames>
One other drawback to frames is that people cannot bookmark your individual pages; no matter which page they go to, the home page web address will be bookmarked.
