Your browser stores everything you view on the Internet. That way, when you return to a page, the graphics are loaded much more quickly because your browser uses the stored or cached version. When a web page has new content, you browser should update itself.

The cache can build up over time and actually slow down your hard drive. It is advisable to clean out your cache from time to time. You may delete your cache in Internet Explorer by choosing Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files - OK.
